Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board advertised 600 vacancies in UP Police Sub Inspector Bharti in 2016 for female candidates only. The candidate must have atleast Bachelor degree from any recognized university or any equivalent or higher education.

Selection Procedure for Sub Inspector Bharti
As per the advertisement, for the Selection / Bharti of the Sub Inspector (Female), there will be an online written exam for the Sub Inspectors (Female) in the Police Department of Uttar Pradesh Government. There will be 400 marks for the written examination and this examination will be divided into four subjects and each subject carry 100 marks and the candidate have to qualify this written examination by taking atleast 50 percent marks and further the candidates must have to obtain atleast 50% marks in each subject of the written examination. Thereafter, the qualified candidates in the written examination will go further for the Physical Test and the candidate who will pass this physical test, will be proceeded for Medical Test.
The candidates applying to these vacancies of female Sub Inspectors, must have the desired height, eye sight, chest, weight proportionate of height and other essential requirements as prescribed by the UP Police Recruitment / Bharti Board. The relaxation of five years in upper age limit will be for the SC/ST/OBC candidates belonging to the Uttar Pradesh State only.
The Uttar Pradesh Police Bharti/ Recruitment Board further made clear that 2% posts will remain intact for the dependents of freedom fighters and 5% posts for the ex-serviceman, as per the state government instructions and rules issued from time to time.
